Ingredients

  • 1 large apple
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter (see note)
  • 1 ½ tbsp honey
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • vanilla ice cream

Directions

  1. Cut apple into small cubes, discarding core and seeds.
  2. Melt butter in a medium pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add apple, honey, cinnamon, and salt. Stir to combine.
  4. Cook 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples soften slightly.
  5. Cool a couple minutes, then serve over vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • Tip: If using salted butter, omit the pinch of salt.
